Ministry/Job Description

Reports to:  Children’s Director

Position description:  Oversee weekend programming for children birth to pre-kindergarten.  This person will be responsible for recruiting and developing a team of ministry partners to ensure a successful and engaging program.

Duties and responsibilities:
1. Team with the Children’s Director, Beginnings Co-Director and other Children’s Ministry Staff to implement the vision and direction of Children’s Ministries, specifically related to the Beginnings Department.
2. Coordinate with the Beginning’s Co-Director in recruiting, training and leading a team of ministry partners to oversee and staff the weekend program.   
3. Work with Children’s Director and Beginnings Co-Director in preparing, implementing and evaluating ministry curriculum.   
4. Partner with the Children’s Director and Beginning’s Co-Director to coordinate equipment and facility needs for the Beginning’s Ministry, where a safe and fun loving environment is a priority.
5. Coordinate with Children’s Director and Beginnings Co-Director in implantation of annual goals for Beginnings.
6. Coordinate with Children’s Director and Beginnings Co-Director in planning and overseeing the Beginning’s budget.
7.  Build relationships with ministry partners to grow and develop their gifts.
8. Prepare and conduct Ministry Partner trainings and appreciations in coordination with Beginnings team.
9. Partner with entire Family Ministries team to plan and implement events and programs.
10. Attend conferences, retreats, seminars etc. to ensure the program is growing spiritually.
11.  Participate in family ministry and staff meetings as needed.  
12.  Partner with Beginnings team in overseeing website and other communication tools.
13. Build relationships and develop part-time Weekend Coordinators.   


Essential skills/abilities:
•    1+ years experience leading ministry to children.
•    Basic PC and Microsoft Office skills.
•    Must be positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and maintain a professional attitude.
•    Must be able to work as a team player.
•    Must be anchored to God personally in his/her life and have the heart of Christ in their leadership direction.
•    Must be able to lead and develop volunteers.
•    Love for children and Children’s Ministry.

Time Requirements:
