Jana Richardson is a Licensed Professional Counselor and she earned her BS in Psychology with a Minor in Child and Family Development from Eastern Michigan University as well as her MA in Community Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. Jana has over 17 years of experience counseling children, adolescents, and adults as well as marriage and family therapy. Along with her clinical experience, she has also conducted seminars and lectures on various clinical issues.
Mark Benish holds a Masters of Arts in both Counseling Ministries and Christian Studies from Denver Seminary and is the recipient of the Dr. Randolph M. MacFarland Counseling Award for excellence in church and parachurch counseling. Additionally, Mark is a trained Prepare-Enrich marital and pre-marital counselor, is trained in biblical conflict resolution by Peacemaker Ministries, and has 10 years experience as a life coach and financial counselor to couples going through financial, marital and life difficulties. Mark has been blending his family for more than eighteen years, working hard at doing marriage right. He also owned his own business for 26 years before going to seminary. Out of his rich life experience, seminary training, and counseling knowledge, Mark has integrated Christian teaching with the best of secular psychology to develop a unique counseling process designed to help each client mature in their spiritual journey and learn how to thrive in their relationships.
Alli Dunham graduated from Denver Seminary in 2004 with her Master’s in Counseling Licensure. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor pursuing licensure in the state of Colorado. Alli desires to walk alongside her clients and help them navigate the challenges of life. Her heart is especially soft toward those who encounter seemingly “untouchable” issues and the accompanying overwhelming feelings. Alli seeks to connect with people who carry deeply-seeded brokenness and shame, to help them find restoration and wholeness.
Philip Harms graduated from Denver Seminary with his MA in Counseling Licensure in May 2010. He is pursuing his license with the state of Colorado. Philip’s passion is to use his gifts and training to help individuals, couples and families gain healing from past and current hurts. His experience includes helping people work through depression, anxiety, anger, grief & loss, low self-esteem, and marriage difficulties. In addition to his counseling training, Philip is a certified administrator of the Prepare-Enrich relationship assessment tool.
Jason Kell is a Nationally Certified Counselor who graduated from Denver Seminary with a Master’s in Counseling and is pursuing his professional counseling license. Jason specializes in working with children, adolescents, young-adults and adults who may be experiencing issues surrounding trauma, abuse, healthy sexuality, relational intimacy, and addictive behaviors. Jason also has focused experience in working with individuals, couples and families who face challenges with depression, anxiety, anger, forgiveness, substance use/abuse, career changes, identity, communication, parenting, and spirituality. In addition to Jason’s training and experience, he is a certified administrator of the Prepare/Enrich couples assessment tool, and is in the process to attain certifications as a Registered Play Therapist, an Associate Provider for Juvenile Sex-Offenders, and EMDR training through an EMDRIA Certification program.
Whitney Wilken is a counseling intern, and will be graduating in December 2011 from Denver Seminary with a Master’s in Counseling. Her previous internship and teaching career have given her experience working with teens in the areas of identity, sexuality, communication, and decision-making. Her training includes helping people through grief and loss, depression, and developing boundaries and communication skills in relationships.
