We all have our story. It is the journey that we travel as we follow Jesus, with all of the twists and turns, ups and downs, and paths or wanderings that we take. Included in our journey and story with Jesus, are our prayers, our community of believers, and how we serve those around us. They allow us to share our praises of God and celebrate Him with everyone around us. During different circumstances or relationships in our life, we may feel depressed or full of joy, alone or surrounded by Jesus, empty or filled with the Holy Spirit, full of guilt or forgiven, forgotten or loved. The changes that occur can leave a memory or a life altering story, that can only be explained by the work of the Holy Spirit. One amazing aspect of our story is that it not only shows God’s work in our own life, but brings hope to those who still find themselves in the middle of a valley.
We would love to hear how God has worked, or is currently working, in your life. How God answered your prayers, how God has transformed you as you walk with others in community, and how He has shaped you during times of service or changed the lives of those you serve. Please take a few minutes and let us praise God with you and thank Him for what He has done. Submit your story here.

I was strongly influenced by a friend, Gari Meacham, and she is the person who led me to Christ when I was 20 years old. We have been friends for over 20 years and she has been such an inspiration to me in so many ways. She is one of those people that just oozes of Christ's love and someone you aspire to be like, just as we try to live like Christ. Read more...

I just want to give thanks to God for His presence at SE. I have been a member at SE for about 1 1/2 years now and have been blown away on how God is at work at this wonderful church. The Holy Spirit message that Paster Todd has been preaching on just opens our eyes so we can see how He is at work in our lives and the lives of those that attend and work at SE. Read more...
About a year and a half ago Bryan and I really began seeking the will of God for our whole lives, even our finances. We had tried many times over the course of our marriage to get our finances under control, but we have never been able to get a good handle on it. A few months after we started to really press in to know God more, we began to circle the drain financially. Read more...
I have never been one to doubt the power of God. In fact, I've never been afraid to take anything to Him. About three years ago, I awoke with a strange skin abrasion, if you will, on my forehead. I went and saw the doctor who then in turn sent me to a Dermatologist. Who then, determined it was ringworm but was wrong. Whatever this was, spread across my face, to my cheeks and then eventually all over my entire body. It was extremely painful and would keep me up for days on end. Read more...
I have a story that demonstrates the miracle of God and I believe I went through this experience so I can share the light and truth of God to unbelievers and to encourage believers. Last year my husband went to the doctor for a carotid artery scan. Since he has high blood pressure and cholesteral they wanted to see what shape his neck arteries were in. Read more...
These past 2 years has been a very long & hard road to bare. When Nate asked what we were doing for Christmas we responded with we are going to postpone Christmas till Jan or Feb. He couldn't understand why and we are people who usually don't discloses what we are going thru. We ask for prayer usually and God does deliver. He always has! We always feel there are families out there who are definitely in greater need than we are. You can call it pride or ignorance! We have never been afraid of hard work and believe you work for what you need. Unfortunately no matter how hard we tried to find work or make our restaurant grow it seemed as if the doors just weren't opening. Read more...
Aubrey Jane has been God's surprise from day one. On April 23rd 2010 Kyle and I were getting ready to go to one of our favorite restaurants, Gabriel's, in Sedalia to celebrate my 27th birthday. I hadn't been feeling very well for a couple of days and had a sneaking suspicion. However, we hadn't been expecting that I could get pregnant because I had not returned on my medication for hyperprolactinemia since nursing Ryland. We toasted with water that night. On December 23rd, 2010 we had the biggest surprise of all… Read more...
