5. Southeast Christian Church & School takes the safety of the people within its walls seriously.
6. Potential abuse that could take place within Southeast Christian Church & School would not have a negative effect on the ministry of the Church or School.
7. Abuse should be reported within 48 hours.
8. You do not need to cooperate during an abuse investigation.
9. If the media contacts you regarding an alleged abuse incident, you must refer them to the Associate Pastor.
10. You may have your service provisions revoked temporarily if you are accused of child abuse.
11. All volunteers in Children's Ministry/Student Ministry of Southeast Christian Church will have a background check conducted prior to beginning their volunteer service.
12. The following are potential signs of abuse: a child having discomfort when sitting, "acting out" sexual behavior, statements such as "I don't like (a particular church worker)."
