Host an International Student - CIEE Student Exchange. Elizabeth Ortega, 866.444.0336. eortega@ciee.org. www.ciee.org/host. We have students coming to Colorado for the 2011-2012 high school year and we need assistance in finding them good homes and families that share their interests. These students are active and interested in learning about American culture. We accept all kinds of families - kids, no kids, empty nesters, single parents, and so on. The main requirements are kindness and a willingness to learn about a foreign culture. Your family will not only gain a new member, you will also learn about the world, its many values, traditions, languages, food, and more.
Our students have the appropriate visa, medical insurance and pay for all of their own expenses, with the exception of food and utilities. Students are between the ages of 15-18. They are arriving in August and are on a 10 month program. You may act as a welcome family and bring the student into your community for a part of their experience as well. We are also looking for local coordinators who are interested in working with our students and host families in your community. If you are not in the position right now to host a student, we would greatly appreciate your help in forwarding this along to your network of friends and family. (06.28.11)

International Student Exchange. Lynda Harper. 303.868.2470. iselynda@gmail.com. www.iseusa.com. My name is Lynda, and I work for a non-profit by the name of International Student Exchange which is regulated by the US State Department. God recently called me to find loving Christian host families for foreign exchange High School students. Proverbs 22:6 says "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." Hebrews 13:1-2 says "Keep on loving eachother as brothers. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it." While looking at the profiles of my students, I realized how many of them weren't interested in religion. This was my opportunity to find host families that could "plant a seed" into these kids lives. If you are interested, please contact me at 303-868-2470. I would love the opportunity to talk to you about my ministry. God Bless you. My students, come from all over the world, and all we ask is for a family to provide room and board, while they attend your local High School. The students bring a minimum of $300/month to pay for incidentals, they have full insurance, are excellent students, are proficient in English, and are involved in activities. They have to be recommended by their English teacher, and they go through a criminal background check. This is your opportunity to make a difference in a young person's life, while learning a new culture and way of life. (05.16.11)
